Director, and Principal Geotechnical Engineer at Buttress Engineering Ltd. 

Holding both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Eric brings over 20 years of extensive experience and expertise in the infrastructure industry, as well as in commercial and residential developments across China and New Zealand, including Auckland, Waikato, and Bay of Plenty regions. Eric has served as a team leader and designer on some of the largest and most challenging projects, including the Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway (max speed 350 km/h) and Wuhan-Guangzhou High-Speed Railway (max speed 350 km/h). His professional knowledge and experience encompass a wide range of civil and geotechnical engineering works, including landslide remediation, ground improvement, pile foundations, deep excavations, liquefaction mitigation, earthworks, and retaining structure design and project management.

Eric is a Chartered Professional Engineer (Geotechnical) with Engineering New Zealand and is in the process of applying to become a registered Producer Statement Author with Auckland Council. He has also been a National Registered Geotechnical Engineer and a Registered Utility Engineer (HVAC) in China since 2009.
